Samsung Instinct Moves Up to #4

The top 3 have stayed the same (still surprised the iPhone is not number one?). The Instinct has moved up two rankings from number 6 to number 4, while the BlackBerry Pearl dropped from number 4 to number 6. New entrants to the list include the G1, the Env2, and the HTC Diamond. They kicked the LG Rumor, Palm Centro and Nokia 5310 off of the list. Any predictions for what will happen in November and December?

  6. RIM BlackBerry Pearl
  7. HTC G1

Top 10 Shopping and Eating Destinations

Author-Mary Beth Lowell – Communications Manager

Our_top_10_list

I’m probably an atypical female in that I hate going to the mall during the holiday season. Traffic and parking alone have turned me into a huge fan of online shopping, not to mention the crowds inside the stores. The line to check out can be just as congested as the line of cars outside.

Ever wonder what the most popular places to shop and eat are during this time of year? According to our database, here are the top 10 retail and food locations people have searched for since Black Friday through TeleNav GPS Navigator:

  1. Wal-Mart
  2. Starbucks
  3. Best Buy
  4. Target
  5. Home Depot
  6. Sprint
  7. Radio Shack
  8. Lowe’s
  9. Costco
  10. McDonald’s

I’m not surprised about the first few but I do have to admit that Home Depot and Lowe’s were not destinations I expected. Maybe they are good places to pick up Christmas lights and decorations?

Another blogger made an interesting point this morning – who needs directions to Starbucks and McDonalds when there is one around every corner?

Any other stores on this list surprise you? Are there any stores you are surprised didn’t make the list?
