Recently, as you may know, we launched a new free app called Jungle! As a quick recap, Jungle! is an online marketplace app (available for the iPhone and iPod Touch) that allows you to buy, sell, and search for items or services right from your phone. It’s different than most online marketplaces because it uses GPS to help you sort through relevant search results. For example, if you’re searching for a textbook, Jungle! will find the most relevant results and sort them by distance (in miles) based on your location. We think this is extremely useful because for most of us, when we’re in the market for a product, weigh value against cost and distance. As an item’s cost or distance increases, it becomes less likely we’ll want to buy that product, right? We think so anyways. ;)
But a recap of Jungle! is not what you’re interested in right now. What you want to know is…
… How do I win iTunes Gift Cards with Jungle!?
It’s simple. Just do the following:
1. Download Jungle! to your iPhone or iPod Touch
2. Register your email address (if we cannot contact you, it’s hard to give you a prize!).
3. There is no 3rd step!
Every 100th person who downloads Jungle! and registers their email address within the app will win one of fifty (50) $20 iTunes Gift Cards!
But there’s one more way to win!
We wanted to make things just a little bit more interesting and upped the stakes.
For every 50th item posted for sale within Jungle!, we will buy it for double the listed price (for up to $100.00)!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: We’re extending the Help Me Get an HTC EVO Contest we announced last week and we’re making it easier to enter!
Now to enter, all you have to do is answer this question (in the comment section below or on the original post): Why do you need Sprint Navigation (powered by TeleNav) on the HTC EVO 4G this summer?”
That’s it! The contest will be extended until 11:59am next Friday (June 11th, 2010) and the winner will selected by a group of TeleNav judges! Be sure to remember to leave your name and your email address in the comments section because you can’t win if we can’t contact you!

Okay, so I know what you’re thinking…
You’re thinking, “Dude, why the flip are you announcing another contest already? And more specifically, why are you doing it the day after announcing your other contest? Seriously?”
To that, I say, SERIOUSLY – we play by nobody’s rules. ;)
So why exactly are we launching another contest already? Well, as many of you probably are aware, the HTC EVO 4G is coming out soon (June 4th) and it being one of the most hyped up pieces of tech (not named the iPad), we wanted to do something around it.
Of course, we could just as easily do nothing and all would be just fine and dandy but fact of the matter is, we are as psyched about this phone as you are and we absolutely want to do something around it. Hopefully you think this is a good thing because for you, this means more opportunities to win prizes!
So what exactly is the prize that’s up for grabs this time? We thought as the HTC EVO is roughly $200 (with a 2-year Sprint contract & after a $100 mail-in-rebate), we should help you pay for it so we’re going to be giving away a $200 VISA Gift Card that can be used towards the purchase of America’s first 4G phone! We’ll also be hooking you up with the ultimate EVO car kit which includes a car mount, a car charger, and an extra wall charger!
How To Enter:
1. Record yourself answering the question, “Why do you need an HTC EVO, with Sprint Navigation (powered by TeleNav, this summer?” and post it to YouTube.
2. Post the URL with your full name & email in the comment section below.

The Prizes
While there’s a lot of hype about different devices coming out this summer, there is still one device we think is hard to beat – the Apple iPad. Why do we think that? Simply put, iPads are slick, give you access to thousands of apps, are easily portable, and are amazingly FUN! Seriously, what’s not to like?
Now, if you recall, we actually gave one of these beasts away a few months back. To enter, we asked people to take photos of themselves at their favorite location and send them into us. It was that simple and after all was said and done, we ended up receiving a lot of great entries. More importantly, we had a lot of fun putting on the contest and enjoyed giving away the iPad to the lucky winner! In fact, we had so much fun with the contest that today, we’re announcing we’ll be giving away another Apple iPad!
The Prizes
1st Place Prize: Apple iPad 16g
2nd Place Prize: 5th Generation 8GB Apple iPod Nano
3rd Place Prize: Three winners will receive a $25 gas card
3 Steps to Enter
1. Just write a blog post review of TeleNav GPS Navigator, Sprint Navigation, or AT&T Navigator.
- Must be a minimum of 400 words (no maximum limit)
- Must include a general review and a rating out of 10.
- Tips for the review: talk about pros & cons, your experience with it, who you would recommend it for, etc.
2) In the blog post, you must link back to this contest blog post.
3) Finally, just send your blog post URL to KenjiO@TeleNav.com

So here we are folks – we’ve widdled it down to five finalists and you now get to choose who will win an Apple iPad.
Starting today you can vote for your favorite 7 Words Contest entry and we will continue to take your votes up until Friday, March 19th. After that, we will close the polls and will announce the winner on Monday, March 22nd!
