Telenav Customers on iPhone: UPDATE AVAILABLE TODAY

Summary: The issues some of our iPhone 4S and iPad customers have been experiencing are now resolved. The update is available in the AppStore.

Dear Telenav iPhone customers,

I am pleased to report to you today that the issue that impacted some of our iPhone 4S and iPad customers is now resolved. We have posted an update in the AppStore that fixes all of the issues for our Telenav customers. Please download this update when you have a chance.

Thirteen years ago, we began the process of building GPS navigation for mobile devices. That early effort and continuing commitment has allowed us to build one of the best mobile navigation solutions on the planet. Over that time, we have developed a strong relationship with each of you by creating quality products that make it easier to get to the people and places you love. This relationship with you is very important to us. That is why, when one of our recently released products did not achieve our own expectations for some of our iPhone 4S and iPad customers, we took this matter extremely seriously.

Our team worked around the clock to determine the issue and we were able to submit this to Apple within a matter of days. We then worked with Apple to provide whatever they needed to test the application and ensure the issues were fixed.

For those customers who ran into problems, I understand your frustration. I learned how truly passionate our customers are about our products by listening to the many that voiced their opinions and shared their feedback – and I appreciate that.

If you have not already done so, you are also welcome to download Scout by Telenav for a free year of premium service. This offer will end on Friday, September 21, 2012.

Since the moment we started Telenav, our mission has always been to make people’s lives less stressful while on the go. For more than 13 years and for millions of customers, we have been able to do exactly that – create products we could be proud of! However, our most recent update clearly did not meet the standards we built the Telenav name upon and, from that, we will learn to do better with each and every product release.

I realize we have some trust to rebuild and relationships to mend and I promise you, we are fully dedicated to doing what it takes.

From here, we will learn from this and improve so we can prove to you once again, why you chose us.

    I upgraded four days ago and they charged me another 9.95

    Now it wants to update again
    but I dont want to pay 3 times in less than 2 months

      Hi Richard – What type of iPhone are you using?

      Can you try uninstalling/reinstalling? When you do, please be sure to sign in with the same email and password you originally set your account up with.

    I am trying to install the new fix it update, but it won’t download. What now. I have not had anything but problems since I downloaded. Took my money but it won’t work.

    I have an iPhone 4 and I just updated to iOS 6. I got the Scout app but it keeps crashing before even loading anything. Any solutions?

    I use your TeleNav app with my Android phone and it works wonderfully. I use that same phone for wifi when using my iPad 2 WiFi when away from home. Why don’t you make this app compatible with the iPad2 WiFi? My phone is more than capable of handling the needs as demonstrated by its use of TeleNav and I would love TeleNav to be on the bigger iPad 2 WiFi screen

    My wife has been charged twice for the GPS …. Telenet by GPS she was using Scout but she deleted it so please help us to get a refund for my wife Lisa MUHA.

    I paid $9.95 for this app for a year of voice guidance, and now I’m being prompted to pay again. I won’t pay again, when I just did 2 months ago! This is ridiculous.

    we downloaded the telenav app , after we downloaded all the personal data, contact are gone, unfortunately we did not have a backup. how do we resolve this, we contacted att , our carrier and they cannot do anything. why did it happen this way. we have an Iphone 4S by ATT.

    I purchased the TeleNav Plus about 6 months ago, and I tried to hold off on the update as long as possible since I heard rumors that the program will fail to recognize that I had indeed upgraded and would make me pay for it again. Sure enough the time has come, and the program is being offered at $9.99 or $2.99 if I want voice guidance. How would I go about getting the rest of the 6 months that I paid for? Please advise, thanks.
