This is a permanent feature and NOT part of a free trial period so anyone who downloads the app from the Apple App Store will have access to this feature. Hi Telenav iPhone Customers –
I’d like to provide some clarification about how you can get your one year of Scout Plus for free for a limited time (offer expires 8/25/12 at 11:59pm PST). We’re receiving a lot of questions about this and to make the process simpler, we created a set of step-by-step instructions below on how to do it.
Note that during this process, you’ll be asked to provide a valid email address. Please be sure to double check the spelling.
A few other things to know before you start:
- Please do not purchase a Scout subscription
- When registering, enter your valid information (name, email) – Do not press “Skip” at any point
How to Claim Your One-Year Free of Scout
Step 1: Download “Scout by Telenav” in the AppStore.
Step 2: Once downloaded, launch Scout.
Step 3: Proceed through the Scout registration process and do not press “Skip” at any point. In order to set you up with your one-free year of Scout, we need your account information and a valid email address.
Step 4: At the “Special Offer” screen, select “30 Day Trial.” If you do not see this option, see below.
Please note: If you have previously used the 30 day trial, it will not appear as a selectable option.
If you do not see the 30 day trial option, please select, “No thanks, use Scout without voice guidance.”
Step 5: After tapping “Let’s Go!,” you are finished with the registration process.
If in Step 4, you selected the 30-day free trial, you’ll be immediately given access to our premium features including offline maps and lane assist, just to name a few. Also, don’t worry – We’ll set you up with your free one-year subscription before your trial ends.
If instead you didn’t see the 30-day option and, as instructed, selected “No thanks, use Scout without voice guidance,” you’ll need to call our support line at 1-888-353-62841-888-353-6284 to finish setting up your account. Please let our support team know you’re calling about setting up your free one-year subscription to Scout for iPhone and that you would like to be transferred to Tier 2 Support.
