My Holiday Wish List

Everyone’s in the holiday spirit in the office so as such, we thought it’d be fun to ask our employees what was on their holiday wish list. Here’s what they said!

What’s on your holiday wish list?

Happy Holidays!

Tis the Season of Giving: Family Giving Tree

As it’s the season of giving, it is with pride that this year our employees took part in donating to one of our favorite charities, Family Giving Tree. Recently, I rode along with Selena G. as we went to donate all of the gifts TeleNav employees gave in the name of their Holiday Wish Drive.

If you’re interested in contributing to this incredible organization, please visit their site at FamilyGivingTree.org. If you aren’t able to physically visit their locations, please consider donating virtually.

Happy Holidays!

Holiday Party at TeleNav: Just Call Me Pins!

Do you hear that? That’s the hustle and bustle of the holiday season as it comes zooming upon us. And right now, it seems people everywhere are in the holiday spirit and here at TeleNav, it’s no different – We love this time of the year and everything that comes along with it. We love the cheesy holiday carols, the crowds in every shop, and even the over-the-top fruit cake your Aunt Mildridge sends you every year. We LOVE it!

But even despite all of the craziness that comes with this time of the year, we realize it’s truly a time meant to show appreciation for the people around you and that’s why our we recently threw our annual Holiday Party over at Strike Cupertino Bowling Lanes. We wanted to thank our employees for all of their hard work and dedication, for they are the heart and soul of what we do.

So last week, down near our headquarters in Sunnyvale, we all laced up our bowling shoes and hit the lanes. After all the dust had settled and all was said and done, it was a time filled with laughs, great conversation, and lots of fun (despite more than a few gutter-balls).

Please take a second to check out this short video taken at our holiday party.

Happy Holidays!

Introducing TeleNav “First Look” – We Want to Know What You Think

If you use TeleNav GPS Navigator, AT&T Navigator, Sprint Navigation or any other service that we develop, we’re betting that you have some feedback on what you like and what you don’t like.

Ever wish you could share these ideas directly with our executives or with our development team?

Better yet, what if you could test out new technology and features that we’re working on before anyone else does?

Today, we’re launching TeleNav First Look, an exclusive program for a small group of customers who will get a chance to try out some of our services in advance of launch and tell us what they think.

We’re looking for customers in both the Seattle and San Jose areas who use TeleNav GPS Navigator, AT&T Navigator or Sprint Navigation on select devices (see below) and who will be excited about sharing their feedback and ideas with us.

Here’s the scoop:

  • What’s in it for me you ask? We’re looking for customers who are passionate about technology and want to play a part in improving GPS navigation on their phone. As a participant, you’ll get early access to new features and new versions of our service. You’ll also have a chance to meet and share ideas with TeleNav employees and other TeleNav customers.
  • What if I don’t like your service? You should get your head examined! No really, we know we can always do better and we definitely want you on board! We can learn best from customers with valuable feedback – positive or critical.
  • Does it cost anything? No silly!
  • Does it mean I will get the service for free? No, this program is completely voluntary so we will not provide the navigation service for free. But you WILL get early access to new features and new versions of our service as part of your subscription … so you’ll have a chance to try some fun stuff.
  • Does it matter what kind of phone I have? Yes, you need to currently use a BlackBerry Bold 9000 with AT&T or a BlackBerry Tour 9630 with Sprint or Verizon.
  • Why is it limited to these devices? Customers will be testing beta versions which may launch publicly on other devices but are limited while in beta testing.
  • What am I committing to if I join? All we ask is for you to try new services and provide ongoing feedback. We will hold a launch event in (updated) January or February depending on which city you’re in but you will also be able to share your feedback online so there is not a big time commitment. We will provide more details on how this will work once you’re qualified as a candidate.
  • Why are you only doing this in Seattle and San Jose? Right now, we’re keeping it focused in this two areas because we have local offices in each. If this program is successful and there is enough customer interest elsewhere, we’ll definitely consider expanding. Which city do you want us to consider?
  • How do I get involved? Take this survey to see if you qualify.
