The TeleNav Anniversary Celebration Continues – It’s Contest Time
As I mentioned in a post from last week, we celebrated our 10th anniversary last Wednesday and we just can’t seem to let the celebration end. We had a wonderful anniversary party over the weekend (stay tuned, video of the festivities to come) and are continuing to let the good times roll with a number of exciting videos, contests and fun facts over the course of the next week (heck, maybe even the next two!)
When we were deciding the best way to kick off our extended celebration, we thought there could be nothing better than hearing from some of our friends. So we put together this short video of birthday wishes from some editors and bloggers who’ve used TeleNav products over the years and have covered us during the ups and downs. It’s quite the assortment and very entertaining, so we think you’ll enjoy it.
We also wanted to kick off the celebration with one of the biggest contests we’ve held here on our blog.
It’s all about paying it forward, so we’re asking you to submit a comment below explaining why someone you know deserves to receive TeleNav service on their phone.
It could be someone who is constantly getting lost, a frequent traveler, or someone who is always arriving late. The comments will be evaluated by a team here at TeleNav and the TOP FIVE submissions will receive ONE YEAR OF TELENAV SERVICE FOR THEMSELVES AND THE PERSON THEY SUBMITTED. Check out the full-contest details here: telenav-blog-contest-rules_final We’re very excited to see how creative you can be with your submissions.
Good luck and thanks again to Todd Haselton (LAPTOP Magazine), Wilson Rothman (Gizmodo), Al Sacco (CIO.com), David Ciccone (Mobility Today), Nan Palmero (BlackBerry Cool), Matt Miller (ZDNet and Nokia Experts) and Greg Kumparak (Mobile Crunch) for sending us a Happy Birthday video!

I’ll give you one more than you even need. I’ll explain why my friend needs TeleNav on his phone and why I use TeleNav on my iPhone.
My friend Staton Flurry could really use TeleNav since he is always on the go. He is always telling me about his upcoming trips he’s taking, and with how much he and his family travels, it just makes since for him to signup for TeleNav through AT&T Navigator. With it, he could finally have access to rich GPS, 3D voice guided mapping, automatic re-routing, and traffic updates right from his phone. It sure beats the paper atlases they’re using now. Not to mention if they get lost…
I use TeleNav through AT&T Navigator on my iPhone since I can finally carry and up-to-date and powerful GPS navigation system in my pocket. As the CEO of a Tech Firm and a weather reporter for WeatherBug, I’m always having to travel on a business trip or weather report live on location at some scenic destination (plus, we’re about to move 800 miles to GA, and I can’t wait to have TeleNav help us out on that big trip). With TeleNav, I can rest assured that I always have up-to-date GPS mapping at my fingetips, have voice guided turn-by-turn directions complete with 3D mapping, have automatic rerouting if we miss a turn, and have live traffic and location information (gas stations by price, restaurants, etc.) at my fingertips. I just wish I would have signed up sooner! Especially back during my Atlanta trip, when we got lost every single day using paper maps! After signing up for TeleNav, I just don’t see how I could get where I need to go without it. It’s an indispensable service for my iPhone!

I’m pretty sure my brother needs Telenav, because he refuses to get an in-car system. :)

My girlfriend will be traveling the West Coast in style with her new T-Mobile MyTouch styling with TeleNav guiding the way. Plus – she’s never been to Texas, so when she comes to visit she will be able to drive around with Telenav shining the way as bright as the the Lone Star State. Happy 10th and here’s to the many more decades of success!

My friend has grandchildren in the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area. The exits are sparsely marked giving little time to cross from one far lain to another. Every time he goes through Dallas he gets lost and it ends up taking him about an hour longer that is should. He gets confused on which hwy he needs to be on then, he passes the exit. It is especially hard because he arrives in Dallas after dark and at a time when traffic is heaviest.

My friend needs TeleNav because he drives a lot at night, and it is very difficult for him to see the street signs in the dark. What I love most about TeleNav is how it warns me beforehand about an upcoming turn, and then tells me to turn when I get there. I don’t have to struggle to see the road signs and I can pay more attention to driving.

My friend needs Telenav becasue of the trip he takes. Just finished a 3900 mile trip with lots of traffic delays. He would call me and ask to look to see if there was traffic or road construction. It would have helped him lots then and now as he travels.

My friend/sister-in-law desperatlely needs Telenav because she never drives on the expressways and always takes the back roads. Therefore she is always getting lost or asking me to drive her everywhere. In picking my entry not only would we both get the benefit of Telenav, but I wouldn’t have to accompany here on every trip that is located outside of her community!
