We were thrilled to find out this week that Andrew Seybold and his panel of judges have chosen TeleNav Shotgun as a Finalist for ‘Most Innovative Mobile Device of 2008′ in this year’s Andrew Seybold Choice Awards.

TeleNav Shotgun is a two-way, Internet-connected GPS personal navigation device (PND) for business travelers that we launched last November. It leverages the wireless network to provide real-time, connected features for business travelers including traffic alerts, Internet content (maps and business listings), gas prices and business reviews. With TeleNav Shotgun, users have access to up-to-date information, can preplan trips online and can download and export data such as mileage driven each trip.

And Mr. Seybold seems impressed.

“TeleNav Shotgun represents the next generation of GPS devices,” he said in the press release we issued today. “TeleNav has leveraged its expertise in GPS connected navigation on mobile phones to bring a superb connected navigation experience on a standalone GPS device.”
