  • Using TeleNav “Spots” to Share Locations With Other TeleNav Users

    November 20th, 2008
Author: Nicole Verrett – Dedicated Sales Support Team Member

Over the weekend I was daydreaming and experiencing a bit of nostalgia. You see I had the pleasure of going on my first trip to New York this past April. I still know a couple of friends who have yet to make it there. So I got to thinking, why don’t I suggest some hot spots and places for them to visit once they make their voyage to the Big Apple. I started posting my favorite New York hangouts on “My Spots” on the TeleNav website.

TeleNav “Spots” is a cool feature that allows you save locations of interest. Whether it is a tourist spot like New York, or a local pizza joint in your neighborhood, you can save it to TeleNav “Spots.” Central Park, Fao Schwartz, and Times Square, are some of my favorite places in New York that I have saved under “My Spots” in the TeleNav website.

By doing this I get to share my places of recommendation with TeleNav users, who can log into their account to view “Spots.” When viewing other “Spots” on the website added by users, I can post comments, suggestions or questions and see what others had to say about the place. I can also send the address of a place from “My Spots” directly to friend’s cell phones as a text message.

Rather than spend money to buy a travel guide for your next vacation or waste time flipping through the yellow pages for a new restaurant in town, take a moment to get directions and discover what your fellow TeleNav user thought of their most recent “Spots” all in one swoop.
